Personal Security Policy
- Individuals with credible threat perception can apply for government-provided personal security.
- Condition: Remuneration must be paid by the individual to the government.
- Security granted only after threat assessment.
Concert Tourism Policy (Concert Economy)
- New policy approved to promote concert-based tourism in Assam.
- Aimed at making Assam a leading destination for music and entertainment events.
- Competing with states like Meghalaya for hosting large-scale concerts.
- Cities to be developed as concert hubs:
- Guwahati
- Dibrugarh
- Jorhat
- First major concert event to be organized in December 2025 in Guwahati.
Assam Solar Power Generation Promotion Policy 2025
- Goal: Generate 3,500 MW solar power by 2030.
- Target: Attract public and private investments.
- Expected to create 15,000 jobs in the renewable energy sector.
Expansion of Kaziranga National Park
- Cabinet approved inclusion of over 47,000 hectares of land under the 6th addition to the park.
- Some areas originally proposed excluded, but new areas included to ensure net increase in the park’s total area.
Khanikar Stadium, Dibrugarh – Upgradation
- Allocation of Rs 209 crore for upgradation.
- Seating capacity to be increased from 5,000 to 35,000.
- Will become the largest stadium in Assam upon completion.
New Assam Assembly Complex – Dibrugarh
- Approved expenditure of Rs 284 crore.
- Includes:
- New Assembly building
- MLA hostel
- 1,000-seat auditorium
Numaligarh Refinery Ltd (NRL) Expansion
- Sanctioned Rs 205 crore as final tranche of Assam Govt’s committed investment.
- Total Assam Govt investment: Rs 823 crore.
Lachit Barphukan Police Academy, Dergaon
- Administrative approval granted for Phase 2 development.
- Includes residential quarters and facilities.
- Estimated cost: Rs 229.41 crore.
- Completion expected in 2 years.
