MISSION KARMAYOGI

Mission Karmayogi – National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB) is a strategic initiative by the Government of India aimed at enhancing the capacities of civil servants through innovation, creativity, and technology. The program is designed to foster a more efficient, transparent, and dynamic civil service for the future.

Key Objectives

  • Preparing civil servants to be more creative, constructive, and innovative.
  • Promoting a culture of on-site learning, complementing traditional off-site training methods.
  • Enhancing transparency and leveraging technology for better governance and service delivery.

Approval and Structure

  • Launch Date: Approved on 2nd September 2020 by the Government of India.
  • Target Group: Covers all civil servants, including contractual employees, across various ministries, departments, organizations, and agencies of the Union Government.

Six Key Pillars of Mission Karmayogi:

  • Policy Framework: Establishing guidelines and policies for capacity building.
  • Institutional Framework: Building the necessary institutional structures for implementation.
  • Competency Framework: Defining competencies and skills needed for efficient governance.
  • Digital Learning Framework (iGOT-Karmayogi): Implementing digital training through an online platform.
  • Electronic Human Resource Management System (e-HRMS): Managing human resources efficiently with digital tools.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation Framework: Ensuring accountability and tracking progress.

iGOT-Karmayogi Platform Features

    • Delivers targeted training courses directly on the officer’s home page.
    • Personalized training based on capacity-building plans for specific ministries or departments.
    • Addresses unique training needs of individual officers.
  1. Blended Programs
    • Integrates offline classroom courses with online learning components.
    • Ensures equitable access to training across all levels of civil service.
    • Allows flexibility of online courses along with the benefits of face-to-face interactions.

    • Tailored learning journeys catering to diverse needs of ministries, departments, and training institutions.
    • Course providers can curate content, resources, and assessments from the iGOT repository.
