MIZORAM, A FULLY FUNCTIONALLY LITERATE STATE

Mizoram has achieved 98.20% literacy, surpassing the 95% benchmark set by the Ministry of Education under the ULLAS programme (PLFS 2023–24 data).

  • It is now considered fully functionally literate, following Ladakh, which was the first UT to achieve this milestone.
