On the 77th Army Day, Defense Minister launched Bharat Ranbhoomi Darshan, a dedicated website aimed at promoting battlefield and border tourism.

Bharat Ranbhoomi Darshan: Bharat Ranbhoomi Darshan is a dedicated website offering detailed information about India’s iconic battlefields and border areas. It provides virtual tours, historical insights, and travel assistance to visitors.

Ministry: This initiative was launched by the Ministry of Defence in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism.

Aims:

  • Promote battlefield and border tourism.
  • Foster awareness of India’s military history and valor.
  • Support socio-economic growth in border areas.

Key Locations Covered:

  • Galwan Valley (Ladakh): Known for the 2020 India-China clash.
  • Doklam: The tri-junction of India, Bhutan, and China.
  • Line of Control (LoC) and Line of Actual Control (LAC): Includes Nathu La Pass, Longewala, and notable locations from the 1962 and 1971 wars.

Features:

  • Virtual Tours: Offers interactive exploration of battlefields.
  • Travel Guidance: Provides information on permits and travel arrangements.
  • Collaborative Infrastructure: Jointly maintained by the Indian Army and civil authorities to ensure access while maintaining operational readiness.
