For the year 2025, the President has approved conferment of 139 Padma Awards. The list comprises 7 Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan and 113 Padma Shri Awards. 23 of the awardees are women and the list also includes 10 persons from the category of Foreigners/NRI/PIO/OCI and 13 Posthumous awardees.

Padma Awards
- Instituted in 1954 by the Government of India.

Eligibility
- Open to all citizens of India regardless of occupation, position, or background.
- Awards can also be conferred posthumously.

- Can also recognize achievements in disciplines not explicitly mentioned.
Selection Process
- Nominations are invited online from the public and institutions.
- Final recommendations made by the Padma Awards Committee constituted by the Prime Minister.
- Approved by the President of India.
Award Features
- The awards do not carry any monetary benefits.
- Recipients receive a sanad (certificate) signed by the President and a medal.
- Presented during a ceremonial event at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
