PM-YUVA 3.0

PM-YUVA 3.0 launched by the Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education on 11th March 2025.

  • Prime Minister’s Scheme for Mentoring Young Authors aims to promote reading, writing, and Indian literature globally.
  • Following the success of PM-YUVA 1.0 & 2.0, with participation from young authors in 22 Indian languages and English.

Key Objectives of PM-YUVA 3.0

  • Promote Young Authors:
    • Target group: Young and budding authors below 30 years of age.
    • Encourage the youth to appreciate India’s rich culture, heritage, and contributions of visionaries.
  • Thematic Focus:
    • Contribution of Indian Diaspora in Nation Building
    • Indian Knowledge System
    • Makers of Modern India (1950–2025)
    • Emphasis on innovative and creative expression.
  • Alignment with NEP 2020:
    • Focus on empowering young minds and creating a learning ecosystem.
    • India’s youth (66% of the population) as a key resource for capacity building and nation-building.

Implementation & Execution

  • Implementing Agency: National Book Trust, India (NBT).
  • Phase-wise Mentorship: Structured stages of guidance for young authors.
  • Publication & Translation:
    • Books published by NBT, translated into other Indian languages.
    • Promotes ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ through cultural and literary exchange.
